We at Pilates on the Move understand that time is precious, and your health and well-being are key. By offering (private) Pilates classes on demand, we allow you to use your time in the best possible way, while maintaining a regular workout practice. Whether you like to receive a class in our studio in Hengelo (Ov), or at another location such as at home or at the office, we are happy to move along!

With a personal approach, we help you to become stronger, reduce tension and stiffness in your joints and muscles, and improve your body posture, making your daily and sporting activities a lot easier.

We offer private lessons and small group lessons and also have representation in Amsterdam.

Our Studio in Hengelo 

Pilates on the Move Studio Hengelo
Our studio is located in the centre of Hengelo (Ov). Here we provide both private classes for 1 person (mat, reformer, wunda chair, and cadillac), and mat classes for small groups (2 to 5 persons). All classes are on demand and will be adjusted to the needs of the client(s).

Pilates is for everybody that likes to keep their body strong and fit. Pilates will help you to:​
  • improve the strength, mobility and flexibility of all your body muscles;
  • improve your core stability​​ (e.g. to recover from or to prevent back pain);
  • relieve stress and tension in your muscles and joints;
  • regain correct body posture;
  • improve coordination of your body movements;
  • identify imbalances in your body (e.g. handiness or misalignments);
  • re-train your body to improve these imbalances;
  • avoid wear and tear of your ligaments, bones and joints;
  • prevent the possibility of an injury, also when exercising​ other sports (jogging, fitness, etc.);
  • ​strengthen and regain mobility after yoou had an injury;
  • correct the neuromuscular patterning ​after your injury.​​

Nice to meet you!

My name is Saskia. I am the founder of Pilates on the Move and have a home studio based in Hengelo. My entire life I have been passionate about body movement. Largely impressed by a performance of the Dutch National ballet, I started attending classical ballet classes at the age of 7. Ever since, you could regularly find me in a dancing studio or on a dance floor. It only took until a yoga and pilates retreat in Gran Canaria for me to instantly fall in love with Pilates. It reminded me of my ballet classes, involving the same kind of control, concentration and precision. I am now trained by the internationally recognized BASI PIlates, which is known for its innovation and academic excellence. I am looking forward to guide you through your body, and teach you to become an excellent mover yourself.
